PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast storage unit, in which user's need diversified for the number of storable programs or the number of simultaneously recordable programs can be dealt with. SOLUTION: In the system 10 for storing broadcast, when each dependent broadcast storage unit 12 grasps a recording reserved program and a program being recorded is determined by user's operation or automatic recording reservation, a main broadcast storage unit 11 selects a unit for recording that program, such that a plurality of recording reservations are not set in the same unit as the same time and then designates that unit to reserve recording of that program. The dependent broadcast storage unit 12 sets recoding reservations of hat program, when it is designated by the main broadcast storage unit 11 to reserve recording of that program and records that program at the broadcasting time thereof.
