PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide iron-based powder for dust core that can secure a high insulation property without lowering the density of a green compact material and is suitable for such a dust core that has high permeability and a low iron loss even in a high-frequency region, and to provide iron-based mixed powder for dust core and a dust core both using the iron-based powder, and to provide a method of manufacturing the iron-based powder. SOLUTION: The surfaces of the grains of the iron-based powder are coated with an epoxy resin having a weight-average molecular weight of 2,500-70,000 so that the content of the epoxy resin in the powder may become 0.1-5.0 mass%. The iron-based mixed powder for dust core contains the iron-based powder and a lubricant. The dust core is manufactured by compression-molding the iron-based mixed powder. In the method of manufacturing the iron-based powder, the powder is manufactured by adding and mixing a solution containing the epoxy resin having the weight-average molecular weight of 2,500-70,000 to and in the iron-based powder and, after the epoxy resin is adhered to the powder, the obtained powder is dried. |
