PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying device for integrating two or more sheets of original images at appropriate integration positions from an original set direction and a character direction at the time of reducing and integrating them. SOLUTION: In the case of reducing two or more sheets of the original images read by a scanner and respectively integrating and arranging them at the prescribed integrating position of one sheet of images, this copying device stores original size and direction in a RAM, recognizes the character direction in a character recognition part and decides the integrating position of a plurality of the original images to a integrated image on the basis of the character direction and an original direction corresponding to a integrating sheet number. Thus, just by having an operator select the integrating sheet number, they are integrated to the optimum intergrading position without performing a special operation and without being conscious of the direction of the original to be set and usability is improved. |
