The present invention relates to an automatic cash-handling apparatus comprising a storage device (5) designed for notes (3) and suitable insertion and removal device (7), which device (7) is arranged to work in conjunction with a data unit (9) for recording data relating to the content of removed notes (3) and for controlling the removal of notes (3) for transportation to a financial institution (11). The data unit (9) is arranged to control the said removal in partial consignments (13), each partial consignment (13) comprising a unique means of identification (15), which, when read off, corresponds to a unique identifier that can be stored electronically and is intended to be associated with specific data relating to he partial consignment's (13) content recorded by the data unit (9), and the data unit (9) can be connected to the financial institution (11) for transfer of the said specific data and associated unique identifier. |
