<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device capable of moving a cursor and determining the position of the cursor using a single key operation. SOLUTION: Two pairs of carbon printing parts A1, A2 and B1, B2 are mounted on a board 10. Contact rubbers 12 comprise a carbon printing part A0, mounted opposite to the pair of carbon printing parts A1, A2 by one to one, and short-circuiting the carbon printing parts A1, A2, when the opposite parts are pressed down, and a carbon printing part B0 mounted opposite to the pair of carbon printing parts B1, B2 by one to one, and short-circuiting the carbon printing parts B1, B2, when the opposite parts are pressed down, on its rear face. A cursor key 14 is supported by the contact rubbers 12, and can establish two short-circuits by rotation in the left or in right direction on a shaft part 13 of the central part. A control circuit 16 moves the cursor upward or downward on a display image plane during one short-circuiting, and outputs a signal making the moving position to be established of the cursor to a LCD display part 17, when it detects succeeding simultaneous two short- circuiting.</p> |
