PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interference checking method, device and program for flexibly checking the presence of geometric interference between three- dimensional shape according to the demand of processing time and accuracy. SOLUTION: The data of three-dimensional shape approximate to a combination of a plurality of polyhedrons is inputted, and partial shape expressed approximately to the polyhedrons is fit-processed to an analysis curved surface. The obtained shape data of analysis curved surface expression, and the initially inputted shape data of polyhedron approximate expression are temporarily stored in a storage means. According to the selection of a computation mode corresponding to the demand of processing time and accuracy, the shape data of polyhedron approximate expression or the shape data of analysis curved surface expression are selectively read and supplied for interference checking processing.
