PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an approach detector in mobile telephone in which an approaching person can be detected and informed during call. SOLUTION: A radio wave transmitted from an approaching portable telephone is detected at a radio wave detecting section 2 and an approaching person is detected at an infrared detecting section 6. Based on respective detection outputs and the strength of radio wave and infrared rays in the past stored at a memory section 8, presence of an approaching person is detected and informed at a display section 9 and a sound generating section 10. |
