A process for preparing cat. components in the form of emulsions or dipersions in an inert liq. medium or in an inert gas phase of a liq. phase, comprising a Mg halide and compds. of Ti, immiscible with aliphatic hydrocarbons, characterized in that a dispersed liq. phase comprising the Ti compds and/or Mg halide, is emulsified with an inert liq. medium or inert gas phase of a liq. phase, without any intermediate separn. of a solid phase, with the proviso that the emulsion not comprising the Ti compd. is subsequently subjected to reaction with the Ti compd.
