ANALOG/DIGITAL CONVERSION SYSTEM AND ANALOG/DIGITAL CONVERSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog/digital conversion system that can enhance the SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) and the ENOB(Effective Number of Bits) of its analog/digital converters. SOLUTION: The analog/digital converter(ADC) 1 gives digital data XD being an object of correction to a correction circuit 2. An ADC 4 converts a known analog reference signal RA to a digital reference signal RD and gives it to a correction signal generating section 5. A correction signal generating section 5 averages digital reference signal values at e.g. times [n-1] and [n+1] to obtain a corrected value of the digital reference signal at a time (n). Then the correction signal generating section 5 obtains a correction coefficient on the basis of the corrected value and the original digital reference signal at the time (n) received from the ADC 4 and gives the coefficient to the correction circuit 2. The correction circuit 2 multiplies e.g. the value of the digital data XD by this correction coefficient to obtain corrected digital data XD'.
