PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly process electronic mail before sending it by dividing the whole of long electronic mail into parts or reediting the electronic mail to a limited range and so on so that the electronic mail is delivered to its transmission destination. SOLUTION: When the electronic mail is transmitted from a transmission-side portable telephone set 10 or personal computer 20 to a reception side portable telephone set 10 or personal computer 50 through the Internet 30, it is decided from the domain name of the destination of the electronic mail to be sent whether the number of bytes of the electronic mail exceeds the upper limit of the information amount of each piece of electronic mail that a reception-side mail server sets and when the upper limit is exceeded, the notice that the upper limit is exceeded, i.e., the whole of the electronic mail is not delivered to the reception side.
