PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital filter that is employed for a transmitter-receiver for a mobile communication system and the circuit scale of which can be reduced. SOLUTION: This invention provides the digital filter that is configured such that digital data consisting of sequences are divided into high-order bits and low-order bits, filtering is applied to the digital data in time division at a speed twice a multiple of number of sequences of the input speed of the digital data and synthesis processing is applied to a result of filtering output of data divided from the same digital data to obtain a filtering output of the digital data by each sequence. Thus, the circuit scale of its filtering arithmetic section can be reduced and the circuit scale of the digital filter can be decreased.
