PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an estimate making method enabling a customer to freely obtain an estimate depending upon his own desired conditions without requiring manpower for making an estimate on the estimate order receiving side. SOLUTION: According to this estimate making method using a computer, a unit price of a part is stored in a part unit price storing means 113, the basic dimensions of a part are stored in a basic dimension storing means 112, a part decision rule making depending upon the relationship between the number of each part and a designated parameter such as a product main size in manufacturing a product is stored in a part decision rule storing means 11, and according to the value of parameter input through the network, the part decision rule and the basic dimensions, used part information containing the number of the respective parts used at least in the product is calculated. According to the obtained used part information and part unit price, a price estimate for the product is made. |
