PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving object tracking device capable of acquiring the position information of an object and stably identifying the object wherever the object is. SOLUTION: Cameras 2#1 to 2#n respectively independently fetch downward images, and individual observing parts 4#1 to 4#n acquire the position information of a person in response to the matter that a corresponding camera picks up the person directly under the camera, acquire information for identifying his/her face and clothes in response to the matter that another camera picks up the side of the person and perform feature extraction processing. Obtained feature quantity is made to correspond to each target to be tracked based on a predictive observation position sent from a tracking part 8 and subsequently transmitted to the tracking part 8, and the feature quantity that cannot be made to correspond is sent to a finding part 6. The finding part 6 detects a new person by using uncorresponded point information. The detection results of the new person are transmitted to the tracking part 8. The tracking part 8 updates each person information. |
