PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten wait convergence time of an adaptive array antenna device. SOLUTION: In a base section 30, when an identification signal is received from a base station 40, an adaptive array control part stops updating first and second complex waits, and a mobile station direction estimating part obtains estimation direction information, corresponding to the update final values of the first and second complex weights W1 and W2 (step 303). An inter-base station communicating part notifies (step 304) the base station 40 of the estimation direction information of the mobile station direction estimating part. In the base station 40 of a handover destination, a weight initial value calculating part discriminates the direction of a mobile station 50, on the basis of the estimation direction information (step 306). First and second complex weights W1' and W2' are further updated by calculating the initial values of the first and second complex weights and using the initial values (step 307 and 308).
