PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional image sensor that it cannot acquire accurate contrast information, has difficulty in the design of the shape of adjacent components, cannot adjust the focus over the entire length of a rod lens array, and that it has defocusing caused by a change in an ambient temperature. SOLUTION: The image sensor of this invention is provided with a sensor frame 3 consisting of 1st and 2nd frame parts 4, 5, the rod lens array 8 clamped by the 1st and 2nd frame parts 4, 5, an L shaped plate 11 consisting of a 1st planar part 12 that supports a sensor IC 9 and a sensor substrate 10 and a 2nd planar part 13 placed in contact with an end face of the sensor frame 3, and a screw 15 that is located to a thread hole 14 and fixes the 2nd part 13 of the L shaped plate 11 to the end face of the sensor frame 3 at a plurality of positions.
