PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently select design parameters to execute optimization computation in designing a structure using a computer. SOLUTION: A computation model of the structure such as a vehicle body is created (S201), and a rigidity evaluation model is created from the computation model (S202). Sensitivity is computed in the rigidity evaluation model (S203), and a part with relatively high sensitivity is extracted (S204). The rigidity of the extracted part and the related characteristics are set as design parameters to execute optimization computation (S205). Since the design parameters are automatically selected using the sensitivity, a burden on the user side is reduced, and efficient optimization computation can be performed.
