PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile terminal that can avoid a communication error due to time-out while suppressing cost increase and to provide equipment with built-in facsimile. SOLUTION: The coding system is selected on the basis of an evaluation value to evaluate a coding time required for coding so as to avoid a communication error due to time-out without increasing the cost.
