PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a message receiver that receives a message with valid contents at a specific place and provides the message to a user in proper timing. SOLUTION: A message filter section 120 selects a message with a valid range in a message received by a message reception section 110 via a network 50 and a message storage section 130 temporarily stores the selected message with the valid range. A message providing discrimination section 150 periodically compares the stored message with the valid range with a current position acquired from a measuring section 140 and a message providing section 160 provides the message with the valid range where the current position stays within the valid range to a user. As a result, the message receiver 100 can provide a valid message at a specific place to the user in proper timing.
