<p>A small object identifying device and method for identifying a small object of any of more than several kinds, up to tens of thousands of kinds or more readily, reliably, and efficiently. The method comprises a dispersing step of dispersing several kinds of a large quantity of small objects labeled by a combination of presence/absence of label elements of several kinds or a combination of measures, a measuring step of allocating one of the kinds of the label element to one of two or more measurement points and detecting a label element or measuring the measure of the label element of each of the dispersed small objects at each measurement point in a relative temporal relationship among the measurement points, and an identifying step of relating the measurement results obtained at the measurement points according to the temporal and positional relationships among the measurement points and thereby identifying each small object.</p> |
