PURPOSE: A receiving apparatus for a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) base station is provided to simply embody the structure of a modem and improve a CDMA receiving performance by allocating a receiving FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filter in a receiving frequency down-converter. CONSTITUTION: A frequency down-converter(30) has an FIR filter(35) for passing a desired frequency component and removing a frequency component which does not wish among inputted frequencies, and a transmission speed reducing unit(36) reduces a transmission speed of the data received from the FIR filter(30). The frequency down-converter(30) includes a transmission bit number reducing unit(37) for receiving the data from the transmission speed reducing unit(36) and reducing the number of transmission bit of the data.
