The arrangement enables damage-free attachment of brake and rear lights to a towed automobile, e.g. after an accident and has connecting cables attached to the vehicle with the aid of adhesive pads with self-adhesive connections. The light unit can be attached to the body using suction cups making use of an air pressure difference.
