<p>It is intended to provide a novel protein which is useful in screening an agonist/an antagonist, etc. More specifically, a human-origin protein or its salt, a DNA encoding this protein, a method of determining a ligand to the protein, a method/a kit for screening a compound altering the binding properties of the ligand to the protein, a compound obtained by the screening or its salt, etc. are provided. The human-origin protein as described above and the DNA encoding the same are usable in, for example,: (1) determining a ligand to the protein; (2) preventives and/or remedies for diseases in association with the hypofunction of the protein; and (3) screening a compound (an agonist, an antagonist, etc.) altering the binding properties of the protein to the ligand.</p> |
