A METHOD AND AN APPARATUS FOR CYCLE FLUID TREATMENT IN AN OXYGEN FIRED SEMI-CLOSED POWER CYCLE

The present invention relates a novel method for heat utilization and oxygen supply in a semi-closed Oxyfuel process suitable for power production with very low emissions of carbon dioxide and oxides of nitrogen to atmosphere. Oxygen is transported to a nearly nitrogen free cycle fluid through oxygen selective membranes and heat from the cycle fluid is utilized to generate steam which is fed back to the cycle in a manner which facilitates usage of the oxygen enriched cycle for oxidation of a carbon containing fuel.
