DEVICE FOR PROCESSING DATA FOR EXECUTING MULTIPLE INSTRUCTIONS SET

PURPOSE: A device for processing data for executing a multiple instructions set is provided to execute the multiple instructions set without the extra power consumption and speed reduction of a clock frequency. CONSTITUTION: A memory(210) stores a plurality of instructions of the multiple instructions set. A processor core(200) executes the first instructions of the instructions. A program counter register(220) addresses to the next instructions stored in the memory(210). A plurality of data registers(R0-R14) stores the data of the instructions. A processor state register(250) stores a state of the processor core(200) and includes an instructions set selector for displaying a present instructions set of the instructions set. A pre-decoder(270) moves and outputs at least one of the instructions set to the first instructions. An I-cache(280) stores the first instructions. A decoder(290) decodes the first instructions, is used for executing the decoded fist instructions by the processor core(200). A program counter controller(225) responds to the instructions set selector in order to modify a value of a program counter. A bus(215) interfaces the pre-decoder(270) and the memory(210).
