<p>A safety ski binding for holding the rear end of a boot on a ski is proposed. This binding is characterised in that it has damping devices which are introduced between a part of the displaceable housing and a rear, fixed stop in such a way that they exert a counterforce or resistance force on the housing when the latter is moved backwards under the effect of a rearwardly directed longitudinal loading during skiing, the intensity of the said counterforce or resistance force being a direct function of the speed of variation of the longitudinal loading, i.e. the intensity is greater, the more abrupt or sudden the loading.</p> |
