Traffic disruption report method by determining number of node points that lie between determined code and disruption point

Codes are defined for specific points in a road network. A traffic disruption is input into a digital map. The codes of the points bordering the disruption point are determined. The number of traffic node points that lie between a determined code and the disruption point is determined. A traffic report is output with the determined codes and the determined number of traffic node points. The codes and traffic reports use ALERT-C protocol. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a computer program; and (b) a navigation apparatus.
