<p>A patterning attachment for a circular knitting machine with a rotating cylinder which has, e.g. 36 pattern drums. An endless pattern tape passes from drum to drum on numbers 1 - 18 and misses the others and returns to a drive unit. Another covers 19 - 36. The tape only works on a fraction of the pattern drum, and can be on one plane on the drum or be on several planes. The tape on return can pass in front of, or behind the drums it does not cover. There can be three tapes.</p> |
