USE OF MICROBIAL HYALURONATE LYASE FOR SOFTENING CONNECTIVE TISSUE

The invention relates to the use of the microbial enzyme hyaluronate lyase (E.C.4.2.2.1) and/or a fragment of the same for softening connective tissue, especially for correcting the form of connective tissue and connective tissue structures. The formulation containing the enzyme or enzyme fragment has an enzyme activity of between 100 IU/ml and 5,000,000 IU/ml and optionally contains pharmaceutically, medicinally, and/or cosmetically active agents in addition to stabilisers and/or auxiliary agents. Said enzyme or enzyme fragment is especially provided for use in the medicinal and veterinary field and in cosmetics, in order to induce form correction of connective tissue or of connective tissue structure in humans or mammals, without surgical intervention, (e.g. medicamentous correction of the form of ears, ballooning of narrowed arteries, cellulite and scar treatment).
