Wire mesh panels (1) have horizontal features (6) of a depth approximately equal to the diameter or width of the fixing posts (3). The posts fit snugly between the rods of the shaped features and of the non-shaped regions between two consecutive vertical rods. The posts are anchored at the bottom into the ground or into supporting bases. The post upper ends are at the same height as the upper horizontal rod of the panels and closed by a cap cover. The cover has two locking projections, with curved or convex surfaces, on the inner surface for insertion into orifices in walls or tubular posts.
