The invention relates to a pad, especially a pad for a back bandage, comprising an anterior side orientated towards the body and a posterior side orientated away from the body. At least one dam-shaped, linear elevation is provided on the anterior side of the pad, being orientated in an essentially parallel manner with respect to the sagittal axis. At least one increased friction point is provided on the two ends of the dam-shaped elevation.
