PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sized yarn for a warp yarn for weaving by a water-jet loom, capable of reducing the plugging of a reed and abrasion of the reed caused by desizing, and capable of providing a woven fabric having good appearance quality even if the multifilament yarn having the small number of interlace is used as the warp yarn, and is woven by the water-jet loom at high speed. SOLUTION: This sized yarn is obtained by imparting a sizing agent having 40-60 wt.% acrylic copolymer content, 20-30 wt.% wax component content, and 10-30 wt.% content of a nonionic or anionic surfactant, at the ratio of 0.5-2 times as much as the amount of the oil attached to the multifilament and 2 wt.% or less of the filament to the multifilament yarn having the number of interlace of 5-30/m, and including an oil having >=30 wt.% content of an oil component having an alkylene oxide unit attached thereto.
