PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for packaging and a dampened transporting method using the same capable of assuring either a high dampening characteristic or a safety without reducing a strength or a dampening characteristic against a dropping of a packaged item after its storing and packaging in an outer packaging member, in particular, its dropping on its ridge side and in addition, capable of preventing a lateral motion or a dropping of a top plate when the top plate is assembled to both side plates and further facilitating its packaging work. SOLUTION: There is provided a support for packaging work formed by a synthetic resin sheet. This support has a bottom plate 1 and both side plates 2, 2 cooperatively arranged at this bottom plate through a hinge segment H in such a way that they can be bent and raised. When the side plates 2, 2 are bent and raised through the hinge segment H, the bottom plate 1 and the side plates 2, 2 are provided with abutment segments 11, 21 protruded inwardly to cause at least a part of them to be abutted to each other, and at the same time, the side plates and the bottom plate are formed with storing segments 12, 22 for at least one set of packaged items in an extending direction of the hinge segment, resulting in that a supporting frame for packaging is constructed. The abutting segment between the bottom plate and the side plates is provided with ribs 13, 23 abutted to each other when the side plates are raised.
