PURPOSE:To prevent the speed variation of an image carrier and to improve jitter occurring on an image by engaging the image carrier with a driving transmission system for driving another rotating member through a gear made of an elastic material having proper hardness. CONSTITUTION:The driving force of a motor 13 is transmitted to a photosensitive drum 1 through gears 14-17 so as to drive to rotate the drum 1. Then, all of the gears 15-17 or the gears 16 and 17 or only the gear 17 is made of rubber having the proper hardness. Therefore, even when load change or vibration occurs in a fixing roller 11, a carrying belt driving roller 9, a resist roller 5, a paper feeding roller 4 or a unit including them, it is absorbed in the gear made of rubber and is not transmitted to the drum 1. Thus, the irregularity of rotation and the jitter, furthermore, are prevented from occurring. |
