RESIN COMPOSITION AND SUBSTRATE FOR BLOOD BAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new resin composition having excellent mechanical characteristics, especially toughness and suitable for a nonflexible vinyl chloride substrate for a blood bag having excellent shelf life of erythrocytes and to provide the substrate for the blood bag using the resin composition. SOLUTION: This substrate for the blood bag comprises (A) 30-0.5 pt.wt. of a low-molecular organic ester plasticizer and (B) 99.5-70 pts.wt. of the following aromatic vinyl compound-ethylene random copolymer and the substrate for the blood bag comprises the resin composition as a forming layer. The component (B) is an aromatic vinyl compound-olefin random copolymer having 1 to <=99.9 mol% aromatic vinyl compound content and has a chain structure of head-tail of >=2 aromatic vinyl compound units.
