PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide wave data so that there may be no uncomfortable feeling when performing an automatic performance while increasing or decreasing tempos by using previously recorded wave data. SOLUTION: The envelope level of original wave data is differentiated to determine the rising position and the peak level of the original wave data as edge information (Figure 10 (b)). Meanwhile, a detecting window is provided in a range (hatched portion of the same Figure (c)) where the rise of cadence timing is anticipated. Edge information which belongs to the detecting window, and the peak level of which exceeds a prescribed threshold Th1 is extracted as a control point to divide the original wave data. |
