PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for connecting an end part 3 of a flat tube 4 of plastic foil with a start end 1 of a following tube 2 to use the tubes 4, 2 to mount a sleeve on, in particular, a bottle or other similar object. SOLUTION: Corners 7 cut out obliquely in both fringe parts 6 in the longitudinal direction are provided at a front fringe 5 of the start end 1 of the flat tube 2. Two free lips 8 established in this way are cut away from each other, and the end part 3 of the used tube 4 slides into between the lips and is fixed for the lips. A material of the tube is melted together by pressurizing it and supplying heat for a short time. |
