<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and efficiently detect a residual in a stripping-off process for a resin layer in a terminal attaching area. SOLUTION: A ring illumination 4 and a CCD camera 5 above the ring illumination are arranged just above a mount table 1 provided, on its upper face, with a positioning groove 2 for regulating a flat cable 10 in the width direction, and an image processor 6 is connected to the CCD camera 5. The flat cable 10 is mounted on the groove 2 of the mount table 1 to be positioned and fixed by a holding means of a feeding mechanism, the cable 10 is moved in the longitudinal direction by the mechanism, a resin film 11 is thereby peeled off to expose a flat conductor 12, light is projected to the exposed portion to receive the reflected light thereof by the CCD camera 5, and a two-dimensional intensity distribution is provided by the image processor 6. Since the intensity distribution corresponds to a distribution of the residual, determination as a defective is conducted in principle when the residual exists in the terminal attaching area, and determination as a non-defective is conducted when a thickness thereof is smaller than a allowance value, or when no residual exists.</p> |
