PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fiber assembly having both the entangled structure of crimped fiber and the cellular voids, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The spherical fiber structure comprises 60-100 mass% of moist heat-agglutinative crimped staple fiber and 0-40 mass% of thermoplastic crimped staple fiber. At least a part of fibers constituting the spherical fiber structure is thermally bonded with the moist heat-agglutinative crimpled staple fiber.
