WAX COMPOSITION FOR REDUCED SMOKE CANDLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reduced smoke candle composition with remarkably suppressed formation of soot during combustion of a candle. SOLUTION: This wax composition is a composition comprising a paraffin wax having 45-65 deg.C melting point, a glyceride and a higher fatty acid. The wax composition comprises 5-60 wt.% of the glyceride having 50-70 deg.C melting point, <=2 mg KOH/g acid value and <=2 iodine value and <=30 wt.% of the higher fatty acid.
