PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an electric coupler to cope with poor alignment of a mechanical coupler within a permissible range with ease. SOLUTION: The front end contact section 311 of a contact piece 31 in a contact piece assembled body 3 comprises a tapered section 311b, which is connected to a section 312 having a large cross section in the rear and becomes thinner forward, and a small diameter section 311a, which is connected to the tapered section 311b and has the same diameter as that of the front end of the tapered section 311b.
