PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of quickly capturing an interactive interface with low concentration and high sensitivity by identifying the interface residue in a composite by a plurality of molecules bonded to another molecule in a specified position on the surface, preferably such a biological molecule composite. SOLUTION: This method for identifying interface of composite comprises: (a) a process for deuterating the exchangeable hydrogen present on the interactive interface of a composite containing a plurality of molecules bonded to another molecule in a specified position on the surface and having exchangeable hydrogen; (b) a process for separating one molecule present in the composite; and (c) subjecting the separated molecule or the part thereof to mass spectrometry followed by fragmentation, and then determining the assignment and deuteration rate of each resulting fragment. At least one kind of the molecules may be bonded to a solid phase carrier through or without a coupling hand. In the process (a), the composite may be constituted after substituting the exchangeable hydrogen of each constituent molecule, by heavy hydrogen. The thus-identified molecule or the molecule in which the interactive interface subjected to mass spectrometry is substituted by heavy hydrogen is also provided.
|
