PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner whose using circumstances can be judged and an image forming device equipped with the optical scanner. SOLUTION: Data communication is provided between a CPU on an ECB 35 and a storage part 34 on the board 33 of the optical scanner, and information used in the image forming device is transmitted to the storage part 34 of the optical scanner from the CPU and information (data) is written therein. Such information is stored even in a state where the optical scanner is detached from an image evaluation device, and the information can be viewed by using a specified device in a factory or the like. If the information concerning the optical scanner is the rotating time of a polygon scanner and/or the operating time of a light source, the information concerning the using circumstances of the optical scanner is easily recognized, so that the optical scanner is wholly or partially recycled. Then, the information is confirmed on the image forming device side. |
