PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect sufficient information about electric phenomena used in the anticipation of diastrophism and to quickly anticipate diastrophism. SOLUTION: This system comprises a plurality of observatories 1 using a power company's substations at many locations, and surveillance points 2 each of which is installed in a place remote from the site of each observatory 1 and linked to each observatory 1 by a communication line 3. An earth current or the like flowing in the neutral ground wire 8 of the substation 7 at each observatory 1 is observed, and this observation data about the earth current or the like observed at each observatory 1 is transmitted to the surveillance point 2 through the communication line 3. Each observatory 1 is provided with a current sensor 4 for detecting the earth current flowing in the neutral ground wire 8 of the substation 7, a field sensor 5 for detecting electromagnetic waves, and a data recorder 6 for recording the observation data about the earth current and the electromagnetic waves detected respectively by the current sensor 4 and the field sensor 5 and for transferring these observation data to a computer 14 installed in the surveillance point 2. |
