PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a system supporting and positioning a monitor. SOLUTION: The supporting method of the monitor includes a process for converting the characteristic curve of the rising power of an energy storage member to roughly constant bearing power with respect to the monitor. The supporting method of the monitor in one mode uses an energy storage member 16 and a cam 12 which are positioned co-workably so as to move relatively each other along a movement path. When the energy storage member moves relatively with the cam along the movement path, the cam makes the member shift and the power of the member to be applied to the cam is made to be changed by this shift and, as a result, the cam converts the power of the member into the bearing power to the monitor.
