PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a radiation detector to easily vary its detection field (directivity). SOLUTION: The body 10 of the radiation detector comprises a small diameter portion 18 and a proximal end portion 16 and a collimator 12 is slidably mounted to the small diameter portion 18. The collimator 12 has a shield member 30 with an opening 30C formed in its end face. The angle of the detection field can be freely adjusted by moving the collimator 12 back and forth to vary the distance from the opening 30C to a radiation detection element 22.
