<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which realizes a pixel division for suppressing the deterioration in the display of dependence on visual angles by a process step similar to that for the conventional liquid crystal display device not subjected to the pixel division and lessens an adverse influence on the display quality in spite of the occurrence of mispositioning between two sheets of substrates holding a liquid crystal layer in-between. SOLUTION: Pixel electrodes are provided with electrode projections and the electric fields of a diagonal direction around the electrode projections as the center of symmetry are formed and are impressed to the liquid crystal layer, by which the plural regions varying in the alignment direction of liquid crystal molecules when the electric fields are impressed are formed within the pixel electrodes and the pixel devision is thus performed.</p> |
