PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera and an acquisition system for camera data which enables a user to introduce desired camera data into a camera and to manufacture user's own camera, eliminates the need to buy a camera newly even when the type is changed, and can combine various data. SOLUTION: This system has a camera, a client terminal which mediates communications between the camera and a host server, and communication network which connects the hot server and client terminal to each other, and the camera has a control means having an internal program for obtaining photography mode data and a data recording part which records the photographic mode data obtained by the control means; and the host server has a data table containing photographic mode data corresponding to at least one photographic mode and the client terminal selects at least one photographic mode in the data table, receives the photographic mode data corresponding to the selected photographic mode from the host server, and records the received photographic mode data in the data recording part of the camera.
