PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily process a terminal of a plastic optical fiber at the tip part of a ferrule part arranged at a position retreated into a protection wall part of a connector housing part. SOLUTION: A heat-conductive processed body 25 in a rectangular parallelepiped shape is projected on a heating surface 21h of a hot plate 21 and the upward projection surface of the heat-conductive processed body 25 is finished into a mirror surface 25a. A plastic optical fiber 2 is inserted into and positioned and held in a ferrule part 11 of an optical connector 10 so that its tip part projects. While the heat-conductive processed body 25 is heated by the hot plate 21, the heat-conductive processed body 25 is inserted into the protection wall part 16 of the optical connector 10 and the tip part of the plastic optical fiber 2 projecting toward the tip side of the ferrule part 11 is pressed against the mirror finished surface 25a of the heat-conductive processed body 25.
