PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective plate for transport for easily packaging a roll of thermoplastic resin band without a winding core, and preventing generation of deformation of the roll in transport. SOLUTION: A disc-shaped protective plate main body 2 to protect a side surface of the roll 10 of the thermoplastic resin band without the winding core is integrally formed with a hollow protruded part 3 to be engaged with a hollow part 11 in the roll 10. For preventing slip of a fastening band 20, recessed parts 6, for example, for setting the fastening band are provided in an outer circumferential edge of the protective plate main body 2 at point-symmetric positions.
