OPTICAL ELEMENT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element for an optical fiber and its manufacturing method which facilitate the manufacture, reduce the cost, and obtain uniform quality. SOLUTION: The optical element is composed of a 1st optical fiber having a fiber grating which transmits light of 1st wavelengthλ1 and projects light of 2nd wavelengthλ2 out of the fiber with a uniform distribution and a 2nd optical fiber having a fiber grating which projects the light of the 2nd wavelengthλ2 out of the fiber when the light of the 2nd wavelengthλ2 is made incident from a projection opening and efficiently enters the light of the wavelengthλ2 projected from the 1st fiber into the fiber.
